Our long-term acute care program provides hospital-level care for our most medically complex patients. This specialized medical care manages patients’ catastrophic injuries while using bedside therapies to move them toward rehabilitation.
Patients in this program may have a range of injuries or illnesses, from brain injury, to multiple traumas to an infectious disease.
The program features:
- 24-hour coverage by nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists
- Full-time coverage by a pulmonologist and pulmonary fellow
- Rapid-response medical teams that help prevent and respond to medical crises with early intervention
- Specialized I.V. team
- On-site laboratory, pharmacy and imaging
- Non-invasive monitoring of patients’ vital signs
- Multiple therapies available seven days a week, as needed
